Talk to someone who has been there

Our volunteer mentors have lived through amputation themselves, or cared for someone who has. They listen, share what helped them, and answer the questions people do not always ask doctors.

How it works

  1. Tell us a little about yourself using the form below.
  2. We look for a trained mentor with a similar amputation, in your country or who speaks your language.
  3. We introduce you by email, usually within a week.
  4. You talk by phone, video or message, as often as suits you both. It is free.

Mentors share personal experience. They are not medical professionals and do not give medical advice.

Ask for a peer mentor

Only our small team sees this form. Share as much or as little as you like.

So we can match you with someone you can talk to easily.

For example: worries about surgery, first prosthesis, going back to work, phantom pain.
